Audit Trail and Reporting

How does the solution work?

The Esker audit trail module keeps track of all vendor invoices from receipt to posting to payment. From each individual invoice record you can view the invoice status, if and where it is stuck and why. You can run reports to see how many invoices are still waiting for approval and how much money it represents. The solution provides standard reports that can easily be run from the web interface or the wizard based interface can be used to build your own reports.

Benefits of audit trail and reports

Audit trail and reporting gives you real-time access to the status of your liabilities allowing you to accurately budget and forecast. Additionally, you gain insight into the overall accounts payable efficiency, from invoice receipt to payment posting, as the audit trail tells you who did what and when. You are therefore able to easily respond to payment status calls from vendors.

Unique functionalities, real results

Process audit trail

The audit trail displays the list of audit events, such as when exactly an invoice was received, to whom it was sent, whether it is ready for payment and its status history. This way you can identify not only the current status, but also if an invoice was put on hold and for what reason.

Modifications history
The Esker audit trail module keeps a record of all invoice data changes made by users. No modifications can be made without leaving a trace. In the event of questions, you have the necessary information to contact the person who made the changes.

Standard and custom reports
The solution includes out-of-the-box vendor invoice reports such as: invoices pending approval, invoices by status, number of invoices processed by full time employees. You can also easily create additional reports that fit your specific business or organizational needs with the solution web interface.

Report sharing
Not only can reports be created by and for a particular user, but they can also be shared with individuals in the same department or across several departments. Report details can be exported in several formats including Excel and PDF. The report scheduling function lets you define when, at what frequency and to whom a particular report be automatically emailed.
